The theatrical world has taken over my life. I have two plays and a degree. This is excessive. That said, thanks to whoever left a Meatloaf CD in the boathouse CD player. No thanks to those who looked at me like I'd grown three heads when I collapsed laughing at the chorus of 'Tear Me Down':  

"Cause I'm easy / Man I'm Sirius / Don't try to tear me down..." 

Fan stereotypes are everywhere I tell you. Even fat, bombastic old Yanks have heard that our Padfoot was a man-whore in his day.

Whaddayamean it's 'serious'? No it isn't, it's Meatloaf. Whilst I'm on Meatloaf, how did the Rocky Horror writers know what he was going to sound like before he was famous? You can't tell me they wrote 'Whatever Happened to Saturday Night' as anything other than a Meatloaf parody, except that nobody had heard of him in 1976.

I will write something, eventually. I wrote down the setup for Cedric and Faith robbing Fort Knox (no, really) but have lost it. I recall there was a road trip, and New Jersey came into it somehow, and a doctor (lots of doctor jokes) but whether it was The Doctor or House - no idea. Maybe the road trip was because the TARDIS broke down again, so they went to New Jersey to get House to diagnose it. Probably not. Now I'm going to want to write that fic dammit.

And yes, my other fandoms will make appearances, so watch out for Faith, Xander, Ethan, the Doctor, Prince Rupert/Capt. Hawk, Marcus Tullius Cicero and George Bush (seriously!) joining Cedric, the Lestranges and possibly a Shakespeare plot in various shorts. Don't worry, they won't all come at once. With the completion at long, long last of my fannish magnum opus 'The Diggory Papers, I do declare they ought to be on LJ, especially as I intend to do something with this journal, posting at least occasionally with fic, recs and random observations on life, the Universe and everything, mostly in the vacations.

Summary: Cedric Diggory tells the story of his last year at Hogwarts, the
Triwizard Tournament and survival against all the odd (no, not odds, though those too). Because Cedric
Diggory did not die in Little Hangleton. Nor was he anyone's hero. Coward,
lecher and cheat, but never hero.

As you may have gathered, dear Reader, I happen to be stranded in the Rare Books library with a pile of letters. Dull ones, though there is a very good bit about how ugly the Spanish are which is going to have to go in my final essay for amusement value.

One of those good/bad/ugly weeks going on I think.
